Gaja's Barbaresco Costa Russi 2020 is an elegant Piedmontese wine made from Nebbiolo grapes from a single vineyard called Costa Russi, a name derived from the old local name for the ridge ("costa") and the surname of the land's historic owners, the Russi family. It has an intense ruby ​​red color with garnet hues and offers a refined bouquet of ripe red fruits, dried roses, delicate spices, and light mineral notes. On the palate, it is harmonious and elegant, with soft yet present tannins, good acidity, and a long finish with a slightly spicy finish. It pairs well with red meats, braised meats, and mature cheeses, or can be cellared.
