Pigato 2024 - Terre Bianche

Terre Bianche's Pigato is a white wine made with 100% Pigato grapes from Dolceacqua, in the province of Imperia. The east-facing vineyards grow on blue marl, red clay, and flysch soils, at approximately 400 meters above sea level. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, and the wine ages for several months in stainless steel on the lees. Pigato is considered a variant of Ligurian Vermentino, and its name derives from the Latin picatus, referring to the characteristic small spots that appear on the ripe grapes.
