Argiano's Solengo represents the most international side of the historic Montalcino winery, founded by Giacomo Tachis, the father of many great Italian wines. The choice to blend French varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Syrah with Tuscan terroir has created a modern wine with great personality, distinguishing itself from the classic Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino produced by the winery. The name "Solengo," meaning "solitary boar" in Tuscan dialect, evokes the strength and elegance of this wine, which combines power, aromatic complexity, and the ability to age for a long time in the bottle.
