Tignanello 2021 - Antinori

The Tignanello Estate belongs to the Antinori family, which has been a key player in the history of Tuscan winemaking for over six centuries. Tignanello was created in the 1970s as one of the first Super Tuscans, breaking with the traditional rules of the Chianti Classico production code by using Cabernet and excluding Sangiovese, which is watered down with white grapes. The estate extends across well-exposed, southeast-facing hills with soils rich in galestro, ideal for Sangiovese and Cabernet. The winemaking process combines modern techniques with respect for tradition, with temperature-controlled fermentation and aging in French oak barrels for over a year, followed by a further period in the bottle.
